What do I need to do before my microblading session?
Just RELAX! Your experience will not be nearly as discomforting as you think! The requirements are not that extensive. Just make sure to avoid salon tanning, excessive sun exposure, blood thinners, botox for 2 weeks, and retin-A for 6 months.
How long does microblading take?
Those beautiful brows you’ve always dreamt of can be achieved in a mere TWO sessions! The first session consists of adding pigment to the brow and reshaping them. The second which usually takes place after 4-6 weeks is used to further define what takes place in the first session and add pigmentation where ever needed.
Okay be honest- how bad does microblading hurt?
Although we use a needle to work on your brows, microblading doesn’t hurt nearly as bad as it may appear! Any redness will definitely go down after about 10 days. Over the course of a month, your brows overall will lighten from the pigmentation and the remaining pigment will be semi permanent. The area is numbed by professional products, such as lidocaine. You will not feel the needle actually touching your skin, however your skin may be sensitive to the touch after the procedure. It is important to not further irritate the skin by either putting makeup on it or heavily scented products either.
Are there any side-effects associated with microblading?
As with any work done on your body, there is a rare chance that you could be allergic to some of our products. For your safety, an allergy test will be done on a small patch of skin prior to the actual treatment to ensure that your skin reacts properly with the materials.
What to do if I don’t like my new eyebrows?
In order to prevent you from disliking your results, it’s important to choose which practitioner you would like to work on you in advance. Make sure to look at pictures and compare the works of each and every one of them to see which one aligns best with your style. Remember, brows are always sisters never twins! You will most likely be surprised at your changed appearance, but touch ups can always be done during the actual process.
How do touch up sessions work?
Touch ups should only be done after the initial work has been stabilized, and all the after effects of redness and darkness has subsided. In the touch up session, more strokes can be added to the eyebrows for a thicker look and some slight shape changing can also take place, as well. Ideally, it will be about 4 weeks before one can come back in for a touch up. It is highly not recommended to schedule a touch up for before then because your skin is still going to be healing from the first treatment, and we do not want to agitate the skin any more than necessary.

Many people are unaware of the difference between eyebrow tinting and microblading because they produce very similar results- semi permanent, darker eyebrows. However, when we take a look at technicality, it is easy to spot that there are actually a multitude of differences. Eyebrow tinting actually is only present for a month at most before it starts to fade, making microblading a more long lasting effect. The hassle of getting your eyebrows tinted every month is more work than getting your eyebrows microbladed once every 18 months. You will be saving time and money in the long run with microblading. Additionally, another major difference between microblading and eyebrow tinting is that tinting can only make the existing hairs appear darker and thicker than they actually are versus the ability of microblading to darken up the actual skin, giving the illusion of darker eyebrows.
